In response to the KNPB Mnukwar News via email, FWPP observations on the KNPB report are as follows:
The main WP factions are unified under the ULMWP umbrella and desire freedom.
The ULMWP is stepping up its international campaign by asking for an International fact finding mission.
What is disappointing is we all know that West Papua wants its freedom and we all know Indonesia is never going to let this happen. Indonesia is in the habit of invading and genocide rather than freeing. So we all know the truth so what response would you expect from the Australia Government?
Here are our responses:
The two major parties are doing whatever they can to ignore West Papua's struggle and continue to provide Indonesia with military support and shutdown any political debate on West Papua's independence.
The Greens, on the other hand, are giving lip service to West Papua's right to 'Self Determination' but refuse to act and force the Australian Government to stop giving military aid, and the like. This is as good is doing nothing.
If successful at the next Federal Election then the FWPP will do whatever it can to do block Senate until the Australian Government does everything it can to free West Papua.
